Key Responsibilities

  • Practice & Dry Eye Growth: Lead the clinical expansion of our optometry and dry eye practice, utilizing advanced modalities to build a robust patient base.
  • Comprehensive Care: Perform comprehensive eye examinations for a diverse patient base, diagnosing and managing primary eye care needs.
  • Ocular Surface Management: Diagnose, manage, and implement specialized treatment protocols for ocular surface disease and dry eye syndrome.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on long-term eye health, preventative care, and specialized or elective dry eye therapies.
  • Community Outreach: Actively engage in practice-building initiatives and community outreach to drive new patient acquisition and local referrals.
  • Collaborative Medicine: Partner with our team of elite ophthalmologists and retina specialists to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate, and timely electronic health records.

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • Education: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted New York State Optometry license.
  • Clinical Expertise: Strong clinical proficiency in ocular surface disease. Advanced certifications or residency training in dry eye management is highly preferred.
  • Growth Mindset: A proven drive for patient education, practice building, and community outreach to help scale our primary care footprint.
  • Communication: Exceptional clinical bedside manner with clear, compassionate communication skills.
